In The Plant Pharmacy, herbalist and herb grower Adrianne Hunt shares a beautifully practical guide to 45 healing plants and how to use them safely and effectively at home. With roots in ancient wisdom and a modern, accessible voice, this book offers an empowering first step into the world of natural remedies.

Organized into four key sections, it begins with a clear and engaging history of herbal medicine, followed by a guide to treating everyday ailments — from tired eyes and tension headaches to digestive issues, stress, and seasonal colds — all using time-tested botanical allies. The core of the book is a rich plant directory covering both common and lesser-known herbs, with growing tips, foraging notes, and beautiful botanical art. A final section guides you through the herbal year, showing when to sow, harvest, dry, and prepare remedies.

The Bright Press commissioned me to design the whole book to include picture research and page layout design. Initial jacket design was supplied by The Bright Press. The brief for the book was to design a modern framework with bright colours to showcase the found vintage illustrations.

I was also then asked to design a sister title called A Lexicon for Herbalists based on the original Plant Pharmacy design.
