Meet the gardeners of past and present whose appreciation for plants defied convention, broke barriers and changed how we understand and protect the natural world.

Rebel Gardeners profiles the horticultural heroes – from ground-breaking botanists who redefined science to everyday gardeners who sparked social change – and how they have reshaped the landscapes we live in.

The Bright Press asked me to design and do picture research for the whole book.

Complete with stunning vintage illustrations, the book honours over 30 pioneers from around the world. The design needed to showcase the gardens, gardeners and the plants found in them and needed to look clean and modern with a vintage twist!
